Patient Education is an important part of our mission at the Houston VAMC.

There are several areas for veterans and their families to obtain health information at the Houston VAMC. The largest collection of resources is found in the Patient Education Resource Center. The library staff will help you find information on any medical condition.

The Oncology Clinic on 4B provides a variety of information for cancer patients and their families. Staffed by volunteers, the Cancer Resource Center has information on chemotherapy, radiation, various types of cancers and nutrition for the cancer patient.

The Cardiac Care Line on 3C provides information on heart health. This area has handouts on special heart healthy diets, exercise and various heart conditions.

Computers: There are 8 public terminals throughout the medical center.
