Joining Forces: Veterans' Family Day

WHAT:
The Charles Wilson VA Outpatient Clinic, “joining forces” with East Texas Veteran Service Organizations, Auxiliaries, and many other community organizations, agencies, and businesses, will co-host a Veterans’ Family Day.
The event will feature a free hot dog lunch for Veterans and their family members; music; a car and bike show; 1966 Call Air aircraft flyover; a Vietnam-era Deuce and a Half cargo and troop truck static display; fly tying and fishing, archery, wood carving, and primitive technology demonstrations; “I Can Still Fit In My Military Uniform” contest; many children’s activities including face painting and contests with prizes; free haircuts for children; and information booths for a wide variety of Veteran programs and services.
WHO:
Open to all Veterans and their family members.

Saturday, May 19, 2012, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
