Houston VA Now Offers Online Prescription Refills HOUSTON - Veterans receiving their health care at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) may now order prescription refills and check the status of prescription refills on the Internet at their convenience. To refill prescriptions online, you must be a VA patient, have prescriptions written by a VA physician that have already been filled at least once at a VA pharmacy, and have an online MyHealtheVet account at http://www.myhealth.va.gov. Veterans may also view and track their entire prescription history on this Web site. Once a refill has been ordered, the medications will be mailed to the veteran from either the MEDVAMC pharmacy in Houston or the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) in Tennessee. Instructions for creating an online MyHealtheVet account are available on the Web site, http://www.myhealth.va.gov. Brochures with step-by-step instructions for creating an account can also be picked up from the MEDVAMC Outpatient Pharmacy at the turn-in window. # # # |
