VA Outpatient Clinic in Lake Jackson Now Open

WHAT:  The Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center held a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony officially opening its
              new VA Outpatient Clinic in Lake Jackson. 

WHEN:   Friday, October 7, 10 a.m.

WHERE:  Lake Jackson VA Outpatient Clinic
               208 South Oak Drive, Suites 700 & 800
               Lake Jackson, TX  77566

WHO:     The event is open to the public, tours will be available, and refreshments will be served.

LOGISTICS:  Overflow parking for the Ribbon Cutting will be available at the McLean Park Sports Complex on South Oak Drive just past the Post Office. Shuttle vans will transport event guests between locations. Seating will be limited so it is suggested guests bring lawn chairs and perhaps an umbrella or hat in the event of inclement weather. 

BACKGROUND:
                       
The clinic, with 12 exam rooms, will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The VA-staffed facility will provide primary health care, mental health care, and women’s heath services in addition to phlebotomy, X-ray, and telemedicine services. Emergency medication needs will be met on a local contract basis.
