Panagiotis Kougias, M.D.

Kougias is also associate professor of surgery of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy of the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Kougias has contributed more than 40 articles to scholarly and professional journals such as Surgical Forum, Journal of Surgical Research, Atherosclerosis, Vascular Surgery, Journal of Vascular Interventional Radiology, Journal of Endovascular Therapy, and Journal of Vascular Surgery. He has authored or co-authored more than 10 book chapters. His research interests have focused on a range of subjects including endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms, venous disease, and endovascular treatment of lower extremity occlusive disease.
