Robert S. Tan, M.D., M.B.A., A.G.S.F.
Listed as one of the best doctors in the nation in the field of family medicine, Robert S. Tan, M.D., the Extended Care Line medical executive at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, examines Veteran Johnnie Dement during a recent hospital stay. Tan is also an associate professor in Medicine-Geriatrics at Baylor College of Medicine an associate professor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Texas. He received his medical degree from National University of Singapore, completed his residency in family medicine at the Ministry of Health Hospitals in Singapore, and obtained a certificate in Health Outcomes Research from Harvard School of Public Health. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Family Medicine and CAC-Geriatrics.
